I deleted one of my old characters to create a new paragon. I used the name I have had for AGES.

After this event I know that this character will be deleted - but what happens to the name?

At the end of the event (or close to it) should I delete this character myself and create a "normal" character so the name will be retained?

since any skill unlocks will be kept no matter what you do with the temp chsracter and it will be reset to zero anyway i see no loss in deleteing the temp character and putting in a regular character with the same name.

I THINK that if you leave a par/der character in the slot that slot will be unusable/locked until you either buy the game or delete it and replace it anyway if you dont buy it

the character will be 'parked' in your slot until you buy nightfall. name will still be under your account but the character wont be usable. you can always delete and make andother character though and play while you keep the name reserved until nightfall arrives

funny thing is i have had an elona name for one of my chars for a while as i had all intentions of getting nightfall, now after the preview i wont be getting it so all that name keeping was for nothing :P

Is the reset thing confirmed or is it just "Well it happened in Factions too"-talk?

The site would suggest that the characters are deleted, unlike how it was done on Factions...

Aaa contradicting info on the website too. But if Gaile has said reset, and the update page says reset, I'd believe they are just reset. :v

I saw Gaile last night and this is what she basically said:

Characters will NOT be deleted. They will just be reset to lvl 1, and all items in your inventory will be deleted.

So you will be able to keep the name. If you want to use that slot, just delete it and make a new one within the hour. The server holds your name for an hour after you have deleted it.

i believe the OP does not give a crap what they did in the past or what everyone thinks will occur

the OP wants to see it "confirmed" not assumed

a Character name is at risk here....

its always enjoyable when someone wants to know FACT and everyone and their brother posts what their opinion or assumption is...

Thank you all for the replies.

I will have to think about what I will do - part of me doesn't want to take a chance on loosing the name (sentimental thing - I am a girl

) And part of me would just like to "Park" this new character until the EP comes out.

I will keep watching the forum for any official word before I decide.
